Facilities/Energy Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Facilities/Energy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all facility infrastructure, utilities, and building systems while leading energy management and sustainabilties initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Hazard Mitigation (25%): Enforce safety protocols, ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, identify hazards, address equipment safety concerns, and spearhead safety improvement initiatives to achieve zero major injuries.
• Productivity & Utility Reliability (40%): Maintain a 100% continuous utility supply and a minimum machinery uptime of 92% through robust preventive maintenance, root cause analysis (RCA), operational cost management, and active collaboration across technical groups.
• Energy Management & Regulatory Compliance (25%): Monitor site-wide energy consumption, execute energy conservation projects, submit mandatory reports to the Department of Energy (DOE), and maintain up-to-date SOPs, Work Instructions, and PM checklists for utility systems.
• Special Projects & Team Leadership (10%): Lead Civil Works team leaders, manage capital re-engineering and facility assessment projects, and control operational expenditures (OPEX) within approved budgets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience in heavy manufacturing industries holding Mechanical or Electrical Engineering leadership roles.
• Specialized Experience: Hands-on background in Project Management, Equipment Commissioning, and Start-up operations.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated problem-solving leadership with deep knowledge of thermodynamics (water, steam, compressed air, and refrigeration systems).
• Proficiency in Instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) configurations.
• Training & Certifications: Training in Problem Solving Processes (PSP), PLC, and Instrumentation.
