Facility & Utility Engineer

Utility & Plant Operations Management

• System Oversight: Monitor, maintain, and optimize plant utilities critical to spray drying, including high-pressure steam boilers, thermal fluid heaters, compressed air systems (compressors and dryers), and process water chilled loops.

• HVAC & Air Handling: Manage the facility’s complex air intake, filtration, and exhaust systems, ensuring strict control over humidity and temperature parameters required for optimal spray dryer operations.

• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the mechanical integrity and repair of industrial fans, blowers, heavy-duty pumps, piping networks, and dust collection systems (baghouses and cyclones).

Facility Maintenance & Lifecycle Management

• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop, implement, and track PM schedules for all facility infrastructure using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for complex mechanical breakdowns in utility lines to minimize production downtime.
• Civil & Structural: Manage routine building maintenance, including flooring coatings (e.g., epoxy for hygiene), structural supports for tall spray towers, and insulation integrity.

Energy Efficiency & CAPEX Projects

• Sustainability: Audit and optimize energy, fuel, and water consumption, implementing heat-recovery solutions from spray dryer exhaust streams to lower carbon footprints.
• Project Engineering: Design, scope, and execute Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) facility upgrade projects from initial mechanical drafting to installation and commissioning.
• Contractor Management: Supervise external vendors, technicians, and fabricators during facility expansions or major shutdowns.

Qualification & Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Food Manufacturing products a plus.
• Experience collaborating with other teams/departments within the organization.
• Experienced in engineering processes
