Facility Assistant Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Facilities team in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining building utilities, and supervising onsite maintenance activities in accordance with safety and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct daily facility walkthroughs and perform basic troubleshooting to prevent equipment downtime.
• Monitor onsite work by external contractors to ensure compliance with company safety standards and work quality.
• Assist in updating maintenance logs, service reports, and ensuring all compliance records (DOSH/BOMBA/ST) are organized.
• Provide support during system breakdowns or emergencies to minimize operational disruption.

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.

Experience

• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply. We value a strong learning attitude over years of experience.
• Candidates with 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or building services environment will have an added advantage.

Technical & Skills

• Basic understanding of general building maintenance.
• Ability to handle basic PC tasks (Word, Excel) for reporting.
• Hands-on mindset: Must be willing to be on the ground, not just behind a desk.

Personal Attributes

• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and contractors.
• Willing to support occasional urgent maintenance needs (Standby basis).
