Facility Electrician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial/Facility Electrician is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Keep generator, lighting, and electrical systems in working order.

2. Operate generator during power interruption.

3. Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts.

4. Can read electrical drawing such as single line diagram, load schedules, wire sizes etc.

5. Need to act quickly when a breakdown occurs.

6. Make periodic inspection for new and old electrical services (220v and 400v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, timers and controls.

7. Performs electrical maintenance and repair work; install/replace fixtures, switches, receptacles and wiring.

8. Operates a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis.

9. Closely monitor incoming power supply voltage from Meralco

10. Regular check the temperature for all terminal lugs for possible loose connections, retighten if required

11. Maintains records and logs as needed. (such as daily power consumption for every department)

12. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced personnel and others assigned to his/her position.

13. Keep working area clean and safe

14. Perform other various tasks as instructed by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Male

2. High school diploma or equivalent.

3. Valid license to practice profession

4. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician

5. Proven experience as an electrician
