Facility Engineer (Data Center)

About the role

Responsible for critical facility operation of client's data centers, managing changes on critical systems, responding to emergent failures and tracking preventative maintenance. The role involves capacity management of facility systems including power and cooling, managing availability risk of facility systems and driving resolution, and implementing projects to improve capacity, efficiency and reliability of current facility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage changes on critical systems, respond to emergent failures and track preventative maintenance
• Manage capacity of facility systems including power and cooling
• Manage availability risk of facility systems and drive resolution
• Drive and implement projects to improve capacity, efficiency and reliability of facility systems
• Support IT manager on projects and operations
• Support design and project teams on new site/data-hall construction and commissioning
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance

About you

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related field)
• 3+ years of critical facility management experience in large scale data center
• Experience and knowledge of MEP equipment such as UPS, generator, chiller, pump, cooling tower, with deep understanding of at least one as an expert
• Project management skill
• Team management experience
• Good safety sense and experience driving or coordinating safety evaluation or improvement projects
• Knowledge of Lean or Kaizen, with experience in Lean/Kaizen activities to improve work processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skill in English and Mandarin
• High attention to detail to identify risk and drive resolution
