Facility Engineer (Must be Registered Electrical Engineer)

About the role

Intertek Testing Services Philippines Incorporated is seeking a Facility Engineer (Registered Electrical Engineer) to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, managing, and optimising our testing and laboratory facilities. As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems, infrastructure, and technical equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role is essential to supporting our operations and maintaining the integrity of our world-class testing facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee the maintenance of electrical systems, power distribution networks, and related infrastructure within testing and laboratory facilities
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance programmes to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, equipment malfunctions, and facility-related issues in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies across all facility operations
• Plan and coordinate facility upgrades, modifications, and capital improvement projects related to electrical systems
• Monitor energy consumption and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and facility modifications
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialist work and facility support services
• Provide technical guidance and support to facility staff and other departments
• Ensure safety protocols are adhered to and conduct safety briefings as required

What we're looking for

• Current Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) registration as an Electrical Engineer in the Philippines
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility management, building systems engineering, or electrical infrastructure maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and HVAC systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, technical schematics, and building plans
• Solid understanding of Philippine Electrical Code and relevant safety standards and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Strong project management capabilities with experience coordinating maintenance and upgrade projects
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and facility management systems
• Flexibility to respond to emergency situations and conduct on-call support as needed
• Preferred: Experience in laboratory or testing facility environments
• Preferred: Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
