What they need

Agriculture · Licensed Controlled-Environment Facility · Piedmont, Oklahoma

Full-time · On-site · $800–$1,250+ per week

We are hiring a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to keep a commercial controlled-environment agriculture facility operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can diagnose HVAC problems, troubleshoot electrical systems, and repair equipment—and who is also willing to step onto the production floor when maintenance work is current.

The position is approximately 80% facility maintenance and 20% horticultural and plant work. When scheduled maintenance and repairs are caught up, you will assist with agricultural production. Both responsibilities are essential parts of the position.

Facility Maintenance Responsibilities—Approximately 80%

* Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including condensing units, air handlers, dehumidification equipment, and environmental controls.

* Check refrigerant charges and pressures, perform leak detection, and maintain accurate service records.

* Troubleshoot commercial electrical systems, including lighting circuits, fixtures, ballasts, drivers, motors, controls, and electrical panels.

* Maintain a scheduled preventative maintenance program for filters, belts, coils, drains, controls, and equipment calibration.

* Complete general facility repairs involving plumbing, irrigation lines, doors, hardware, drywall, fixtures, and equipment mounting.

* Respond quickly to equipment failures and communicate repair status clearly to the production team.

* Keep mechanical areas, tools, replacement parts, and inventory clean, organized, and audit-ready.

Horticultural and Plant Responsibilities—Approximately 20%

* Support production staff with commercial-scale plant work according to a demanding production schedule.

* Follow established operating procedures accurately and consistently.

* Help maintain uniform production standards across rooms and cycles.

* Assist with sanitation, room turns, and facility preparation between production cycles.

* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and facility readiness.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and team-oriented person who takes initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment.

This position requires hard work, accountability, attention to detail, and the ability to shift between technical maintenance and agricultural production. We need someone who thrives in that setting—not someone who simply tolerates it.

Requirements

* Demonstrated experience in HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, and commercial facility maintenance.

* Working knowledge of refrigerant handling and HVAC diagnostics.

* EPA Section 608 certification preferred.

* Ability to obtain all required state facility-access credentials before starting.

* At least two professional references who are not related to you.

* Ability to lift more than 25 pounds regularly.

* Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and work in confined areas for extended periods.

* Reliable transportation and a record of consistent, on-time attendance.

Additional Experience We Value

Experience in any of the following fields is helpful but not required:

* Food and beverage service

* Hospitality

* Team sports

* Manufacturing

* Engineering

* Construction

These backgrounds often demonstrate experience working with standards, deadlines, accountability, and teamwork—all of which are important in this facility.

Compensation and Schedule

* Full-time, on-site position.

* Starting compensation ranges from $800 to $1,250 per week.

* Compensation is determined case by case and will not be finalized until we have reviewed your résumé, relevant work history, certifications, references, and demonstrated skill set.

* The upper end of the range is reserved for applicants with exceptional, directly relevant HVAC, electrical, and facility-maintenance experience. It is not guaranteed based solely on applying.

* Final compensation will be discussed after résumé review and during the interview process.

* Additional room for growth is available based on performance, reliability, and expanded responsibilities.

How to Apply

Send your résumé and two non-family professional references

In a few sentences, describe the most difficult equipment problem you have diagnosed and explain how you repaired it. Your answer is important to us and matters more than the formatting of your résumé.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to pass all required background and facility-access requirements.
