Facility Manager

We are a leading R&D and manufacturing enterprise specializing in consumer electronics equipment and production lines. We focus on providing high-quality intelligent manufacturing solutions for the global market. To support our overseas expansion, we are establishing a new manufacturing base in Johor, Malaysia. We are seeking a professional Facility Manager to spearhead the overall construction and management of our Johor facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Role: Key pioneer for a new manufacturing base setup.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership: Take full charge of the entire factory construction project in Johor, including planning, design review, site management, progress supervision, quality control, and cost management.
2. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with local design institutes, contractors, supervision teams, and third-party partners; manage qualification reviews and resolve technical issues or disputes.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Manage approvals and filings with Malaysian local authorities (e.g., MBJB/Iberian, PLANMalaysia, CIDB, etc.), ensuring full compliance with local construction laws and industry standards.
4. Procurement & Cost Control: Manage the procurement and acceptance of construction materials and equipment, verify quality certifications, and control project budgets to avoid overruns.
5. Documentation: Organize project acceptance, completion settlements, and maintain comprehensive project files for future operation and maintenance.
6. Technical Integration: Collaborate with the headquarters team to ensure factory infrastructure meets the specific requirements for consumer electronic production lines.
7. EHS Management: Implement site safety standards, formulate safety norms, and conduct regular inspections to eliminate potential hazards.

Job Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in factory facility construction or project management. Experience in the manufacturing sector within Malaysia or Southeast Asia is highly preferred.
3. Knowledge: Well-versed in Malaysian construction regulations, engineering approval processes, and infrastructure standards for the electronics industry.
4. Skills: Strong project planning, on-site coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in project management and office software.
5. Communication: Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese (both oral and written) to effectively communicate with our local team and China-based headquarters.
6. Soft Skills: Highly responsible, rigorous work attitude, and strong cross-cultural collaboration awareness.
7. Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Johor.
