Facility Manager

Based in Longford and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Facility Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of our residential aged care home.  This is a key leadership role responsible for the clinical governance, operational performance and regulatory compliance of the facility, together with the leadership of essential services including kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance.

You will build genuine relationships and deliver a critical role in creating a safe, welcoming and high-quality environment where residents receive exceptional care and our people are supported to succeed.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Providing a positive and accountable workplace culture where employees are supported, mentored and empowered to deliver their best.
• Building strong relationships with residents, employees, families, representatives, health professionals and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining a strong focus on clinical governance, resident safety, quality and risk management.
• Ensuring compliance with the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and other legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring clinical care documentation, care planning and service delivery to ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
• Ensuring corrective actions and improvement opportunities are effectively implemented and sustained.
• Overseeing services, including; kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and the clinical care being provided in the Community.

As the successful candidate, you will ideally:

• Be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, with demonstrated experience in a Facility Manager, Residential Aged Care Manager or similar senior leadership role in an Aged Care environment.

• Have a minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in aged care or health service management.

• Have proven leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading a multidisciplinary aged care team.

• Have a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering sustainable outcomes.
