About Players Sport & Social Group Players Sport & Social Group (PSSG) is one of Chicago's leading adult recreational sports organizations, hosting and facilitating large-scale adult sports leagues and social events across the city. We create social sport competitions that give people a fun, safe, and welcoming environment to play, compete, and connect.

The Role The Facility Operations Assistant keeps our indoor facility running smoothly during league nights and events. You'll be the on-site point of contact for players and staff — opening and closing the building, setting up courts and equipment, checking in teams, and making sure every guest has a clean, safe, and welcoming place to play.

What You'll Do

• Open and close the facility, following opening and closing checklists
• Set up and break down courts, nets, and equipment before and after play
• Greet players, check in teams, and direct them to their designated courts
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and answer player questions
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and safe throughout each shift
• Monitor equipment and supplies, and report maintenance needs or low inventory
• Support league staff and referees so games start and finish on schedule
• Respond to incidents or issues calmly and report them to the operations team

What We're Looking For

• Reliability — you show up on time for every scheduled shift
• Strong communication skills and an even temperament
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable working with the public
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a sense of ownership over the space
• Comfortable with light physical work (moving nets, equipment, and tables)
• An enthusiastic, positive attitude
• Availability for weeknight evenings and weekends
• Based in the Chicago area with reliable transportation to the facility

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in facility operations, customer service, or recreation
• Experience with adult recreational or social sports leagues

Schedule & Pay

• Employment type: Part-time, ongoing
• Pay: $18 per hour
• Schedule: Weeknight evening and weekend shifts at our Chicago facility
