Job Description:

Under close supervision from a crew leader, performs duties to support the Facilities Department with general building maintenance and ground keeping. Will assist other departments with furniture moves, company meeting set-up, and various other support projects.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Perform minor building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, adjusting doors changers and locks, light plumbing repairs, painting, etc.

• Use AMT vehicles to pick-up supplies from vendors

• Repair and put together air hose lines

• Perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials

• Upkeep campus grounds that includes, but not limited to, leaf blowing, weed control

• Other duties as assigned

What key skills and experience do I need?

• Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.

• Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

• Knowledge of appropriate safety practices and techniques.

• Flexible and easily adapts to change

Qualifications:

• Preferred previous forklift experience. Zenix Aerospace AMT will re-administer its own training and certification.

• Ability to use basic carpentry hand tools, both power and manual.

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds ; occasionally move heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids.

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the workday.

• Climb ladders, stairs, and work platforms safely

• Perform overhead work and reach above shoulder level.

Work Environment:

• The Facilities Technician works in the machine shop environment throughout the workday; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc.

• Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals may occur, as well as possible skin and inhaled contact with chemicals used to run CNC machines or clean manufactured parts, including solvents and MEK.

• Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

• Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.

Salary Offering:  $23.75 per hour to $27.00 per hour

Shift available:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Shift Premiums for Weekend Shifts - work 33 hours, paid for 40 (weekend night shift) or work 36 hours, paid for 40 (weekend day shift)

• Shift Differentials - $4.00 per hour (weekday night shift), $2.00 per hour (weekend day shift), $4.00 per hour (weekend night shift)
