Facility Technician

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in facility and maintenance activities or in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance, including HVAC, FCU, air conditioning, generator, compressor, PLC, and electrical systems.
• Able to read and comprehend electrical drawings, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, work extra hours during breakdowns or special projects, travel when required, and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and generating improvement ideas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance activities in accordance with the established maintenance schedule.

2. Attend to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests from Production to ensure equipment is maintained and operational.

3. Monitor and report the condition and performance of equipment, including critical equipment such as AHU, chiller, dryer, air compressor, and other facility equipment.

4. Identify required spare parts and coordinate the replacement or purchase of spare parts for preventive maintenance and equipment repair.

5. Update and maintain all relevant maintenance checklists, equipment performance data, records, and documentation.

6. Ensure all maintenance activities and equipment are maintained in accordance with established schedules, methods, procedures, and audit requirements.

7. Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition to support smooth and continuous production operations.

8. Provide relevant input on maintenance requirements and cost impacts related to manpower, machinery, and equipment.

9. Maintain the workplace in good condition and ensure compliance with 5S requirements and audit readiness.

10. Participate in Kaizen, continuous improvement, COIN activities, and projects related to existing equipment and maintenance processes.

11. Ensure compliance with CAP and all relevant company procedures, policies, rules, regulations, health and safety requirements, and other applicable requirements.

12. Notify the superior of any relevant technical, operational, or safety issues and potential impacts before handing the job back to Production, where applicable.

13. Ensure all assigned Engineering KPIs are achieved within the financial year.

14. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.
