Facility Technician

Mantell Associates is partnered with a globally recognised partner supporting the development and manufacture of advanced virotherapies and vector-based vaccines, who is searching for a Facility Technician.

Its work includes developing manufacturing processes and producing oncolytic viruses for cancer treatment, gene delivery vectors for genetic diseases, and innovative viral vector vaccines to protect against serious infectious diseases.

As part of a leading global CDMO serving the pharmaceutical industry, the company employs over 5,200 people worldwide and provides manufacturing services across a range of pharmaceutical dosage forms. Its portfolio also includes clinical trial material production, active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing, and pharmaceutical product development.

Operating as a contract manufacturer with project-based operations, the organisation adheres to GMP standards.

To strengthen its Technical Operations department, the organisation is looking for a motivated and technically skilled colleague (m/f/d).

Facility Technician - Responsibilities:

• Support and monitor a range of technical systems, including elevators, clean utility generation systems, compressed air, ventilation, alarm and heating systems, access control, automation stations with fault detection systems, refrigeration and electrical systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, autoclaves, and dishwashers.
• Plan, oversee, and document maintenance activities relating to building technology.
• Monitor, document, and manage technical changes and deviations.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and updating operating instructions.
• Coordinate, instruct, and supervise external contractors, ensuring that completed work meets the required standards.
• Independently plan and carry out smaller projects and installation works.
• Participate in the technical on-call rota under the supervision of the Director of Technical Operations.

Facility Technician - Requiriements:

• Completed vocational training as an industrial electrician (m/f/d) or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Practical experience with building technology systems, particularly heating, steam, ventilation, and building management systems.
• Basic knowledge of Good Documentation Practice (GDP) would be an advantage.
• A reliable, independent, careful, and responsible approach to work.
• Good manual skills and a strong technical understanding.
• Very good written and spoken German; basic English skills would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
