Factory Boilermaker

Company Overview: We specialise in architectural stairs, focusing on high-quality commercial fit-outs within the Melbourne CBD.

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our factory team. This position involves the fabrication of architectural stairs and complex structural steel items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricaton and Preparation
• Performing welding, cutting and drilling tasks as required
• Reading architectural and detail drawings, adhering to QA
• Priming surfaces and other general duties including pre-erection of stair

Qualifications:

• Must hold an Australian Boilermaker qualification.
• EWP and Forklift tickets are preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

• Welding: Be highly proficient in MIG and Arc. Medium-Heavy gauge.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot installation challenges on-site.
• Process-Oriented: Comfortable with methodical and detailed fabrication processes.
• Detail-Oriented: Keen eye for the aesthetics and functionality of finished products.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing labor-intensive tasks in a factory

Additional Information:

Location: All work is based within Fabcon's factory in Bayswater.

Hours: Start time is 6am, Mon-Fri. 7.6hr day minimum. OT as required.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
