Factory Coordinator

About the role
We are seeking a Factory Coordinator to join the team at CAN.I INTERIOR FIT-OUT SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by coordinating production activities, managing schedules, and liaising between various departments. You will be responsible for optimising factory processes, maintaining efficient workflow, and supporting the achievement of production targets whilst upholding quality standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities and monitor factory floor operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Prepare and manage production schedules, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and deadlines are met
• Liaise between production, planning, and scheduling departments to communicate priorities and resolve operational issues
• Track production metrics, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of manufacturing activities
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes and propose solutions to improve productivity
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards on the factory floor
• Support the coordination of preventative maintenance schedules and equipment management
• Communicate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate material receipt, storage, and dispatch
• Prepare reports on production performance and provide regular updates to management
• Assist with training and supervision of junior factory staff as required

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a factory coordination, production planning, or manufacturing scheduling role
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in using production planning software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and lean principles
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
• Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Diploma or higher qualification in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
