Factory Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Factory Engineering Manager to join our team at บริษัท โฮวะ แพ็คเกจจิ้ง (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด. This is a full-time position based in Nong Khae, Saraburi. As Factory Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations within our manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal production efficiency, equipment reliability, and adherence to quality standards. This role is pivotal to our operations, directly impacting productivity, cost management, and our ability to deliver excellence to our customers. You will work closely with production teams, senior management, and cross-functional departments to drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations within the factory, including maintenance, equipment management, and process optimisation
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment performance
• Manage the maintenance team, including planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Conduct regular equipment assessments and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and replacements to ensure optimal operational performance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all engineering operations
• Collaborate with production management to identify process improvements and implement solutions that enhance overall facility performance
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), downtime, and maintenance costs
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and production issues, implementing corrective and preventative measures
• Manage engineering budgets and capital expenditure projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions are achieved
• Supervise and mentor engineering and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers and vendors regarding technical support, spare parts, and warranty matters
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for management review and audit purposes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or factory operations management
• Have a COE License for Professional Practice
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and engineering operations in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and process engineering
• Proficiency in predictive maintenance techniques and equipment performance analysis
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement technical solutions under pressure
• Demonstrated project management capabilities, with experience leading capital projects or facility upgrades
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in manufacturing
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organisational levels
• Experience in packaging or related manufacturing industries is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous
• Good command of English
