Factory Hand

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Factory Hand to join our growing manufacturing team in Wangara, WA. This is a full-time position based at our warehouse and manufacturing facility. As a Factory Hand, you will play a vital role in our daily operations, supporting the manufacturing and distribution of our quality blind products. You will be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced warehouse and factory environment, where attention to detail and reliability are essential. This position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills whilst contributing directly to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in compliance with safety procedures
• Loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles and arranging stock in designated storage areas
• Assisting with the assembly and packaging of blind products according to specifications and quality standards
• Organising and maintaining inventory records, ensuring stock levels are accurate and items are properly labelled
• Preparing orders for dispatch, including quality checking and secure packaging
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment, including sweeping, tidying and waste disposal
• Following all health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents to management
• Supporting other team members and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required by supervisors

What we're looking for

• No experience required. We will provide necessary training
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying goods regularly
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification - we will meet the costs for fork lift accreditation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace regulations
• Reliable, punctual and dependable work ethic with a positive attitude
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
