Factory Layout Planning Section Manager

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Factory Layout Design & Optimization: Design and implement facility layouts to improve production processes and material flow.
2. Workflow Improvement: Conduct time and motion studies, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis to reduce waste, downtime, and bottlenecks.
3. Equipment & Machinery Planning: Plan for the installation, layout, and commissioning of new machinery to ensure it fits into the overall production system.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to align layout changes with production goals and safety standards.
5. Project Management: Lead layout improvement projects, from concept to execution, ensuring they are completed within budget and schedule.
6. Documentation & Standards: Create detailed CAD drawings, floor plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for layout changes.
7. Safety & Ergonomics: Ensure all layout designs comply with safety regulations (e.g., OSH) and improve ergonomic conditions for operators.

Education Level and Field of Study

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Working Experience:

1. Proven experience with a minimum of 3 years in factory layout design, industrial engineering, or production planning.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

1. Deep understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, and capacity modeling.
2. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other facility layout software.
