FACTORY MANAGER

About the role

The Factory Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the factory operations, including Production, Packing, Quality Assurance, Engineering & Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse/Store and other supporting functions. The role is accountable for ensuring the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively while achieving production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall factory operations across Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store
• Ensure the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively
• Achieve production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets
• Provide leadership to all operational teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Optimise resources and resolve operational issues
• Ensure the factory consistently meets the Company's business and operational objectives

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial position
• Proven experience managing overall factory operations, including Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store
• To ensure all production processes follow SOPs.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, productivity and cost control
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage a large workforce
• Experience in the rubber or glove manufacturing industry is an added advantage
