Factory Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Manager to oversee daily factory operations and ensure efficient production, consistent product quality, workplace safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams across Production, QA/QC, Engineering & Maintenance, and Warehouse, while driving productivity, controlling operating costs, and achieving production and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations, including Production, QA/QC, Engineering & Maintenance, and Warehouse.
• Ensure production activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, approved procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor production targets, product quality, productivity, manpower utilisation, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate production planning and scheduling to meet output and customer delivery requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, factory KPIs, productivity, quality, safety, and downtime.
• Identify operational issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the EHS/OSH team to identify workplace hazards, investigate accidents, and implement appropriate safety control measures.
• Enforce factory safety rules, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support internal and external audits, certifications, and registrations related to GMP, ISO 9001:2015, and Halal requirements.
• Monitor factory licences and permits, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with applicable local regulations.
• Monitor and control operating expenses, including manpower, utilities, raw materials, and maintenance costs.
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and improve overall factory performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing operations or factory management.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, GMP, quality management systems, and workplace safety.
• Experience supporting or managing audits and compliance requirements, preferably involving ISO 9001:2015 and Halal certification.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage.
• Able to work according to the stated working schedule, including Saturday mornings.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
