Factory Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to manage the overall operations of our facility at Chakan. The role will be responsible for production, manpower, machine utilization, quality, maintenance, planning, and on-time delivery, while ensuring efficient and safe factory operations ,

production management, team leadership, and excellent working knowledge of MS Excel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Take overall responsibility for factory operations, including Production, Fabrication, Machine Shop, and Electrical activities.

·        Plan and manage manpower, materials, machines, equipment, and resources to ensure smooth operations.

·        Lead and coordinate production, fabrication and electrical teams.

·        Monitor production targets, quality, productivity, timelines, and operational costs.

·        Ensure production activities are carried out as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

·        Identify and resolve operational, technical, maintenance, and resource-related issues.

·        Coordinate with purchase, stores, projects, quality, and management teams for smooth workflow.

·        Ensure proper maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minimum downtime.

·        Ensure compliance with HSE, safety, quality, and statutory requirements.

·        Control rework, wastage, breakdowns, and production costs through effective resource utilization.

·        Monitor daily/weekly production performance and provide MIS and management reports.

·        Drive process improvement, productivity enhancement, and operational efficiency.

·        Mentor and guide supervisors, engineers, operators, and factory personnel.

·        Ensure overall factory discipline, housekeeping, safety, and timely delivery of production targets.

 

 

Key Competencies/Qualifications Required

·        B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical/Production Engineering.

·        10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with relevant experience in a factory management role.

·        Proven experience managing production teams and factory operations.

·        Strong understanding of production planning, quality, maintenance, tooling, and process improvement.

·        MS Excel skills VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dashboards, MIS, and data analysis will be an added bonus.

·        Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
