What they need

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead our day manufacturing shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll own daily operations on the factory floor,  keeping the shift productive, safe and running to schedule.

You'll set the tone each morning, solve problems as they come up, support your team, and make sure production targets and delivery deadlines are consistently met. If you're a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and believes safety and quality should never be compromised, this could be the role for you.

No two shifts look exactly the same, but your focus stays constant: a safe, motivated team and quality product out the door on time. On a typical day, you'll:

  • Lead the shift day to day, brief the team, run toolbox meetings and be the first point of contact for anything that comes up on the floor
  • Support, coach and develop your Team Leaders and operators, building a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Keep production on track, managing KPIs, DIFOT and quality control, and driving continuous improvement through LEAN principles
  • Oversee machine checks, preventative maintenance and repairs to keep the line running safely and efficiently
  • Manage the detail - job paperwork, BOMs, stacking orders, the loading function, shift handovers and end-of-shift reporting
  • Labour planning, attendance management, rostering

About You

You don't need to tick every single box. If you're a capable leader who brings people with you and cares about doing things properly, we'd love to hear from you. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Sound working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and a continuous-improvement mindset
  • A genuine safety-first approach and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, and the confidence to juggle competing priorities
  • An approachable communicator who can brief, coach and get the best from your team
