Factory Technician

About the role

This is a Maintenance Technician position in a manufacturing/factory environment responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and factory facilities, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and factory facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment faults and breakdowns
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime
• Carry out installation, testing, adjustment, and commissioning of machines and equipment
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, switches, and other industrial equipment
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts, and equipment conditions
• Assist in identifying the root cause of equipment failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Coordinate with the Production and Engineering teams to ensure smooth factory operations
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out according to SOPs, safety requirements, and company standards

About you

• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing/factory environment is an advantage
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Able to troubleshoot and repair machinery effectively
• Able to read electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Willing to work shift, overtime, or on-call when required
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
