Faculty (Optometry)

Job Summary:

Faculty Staff are responsible of delivering high-quality instruction, conducting scholarly research, and providing academic support in alignment with the institution’s educational standards, policies, and strategic objectives. The role significantly contributes to the intellectual growth, professional formation, and holistic development of students while advancing the goals and integrity of the department’s academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and other instructional activities in line with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and academic support to students; advise on course selections, research projects, and career development.
• Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the relevant field of study.
• Participate in curriculum planning, course design, assessment creation, and review of academic programs to ensure high-quality education delivery.
• Serve on committees, attend faculty meetings, and participate in departmental, institutional, or community activities as required.
• Stay current with developments in the discipline, educational best practices, and regulatory or accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in the relevant field; a doctoral degree is preferred for teaching and research-focused roles.
• Experience: Relevant teaching experience in higher education is an advantage.

Pay: From Php300.00 per hour
