Failure Analysis Engineer

Overall responsibilities and duties:

We are looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to support customer quality, manufacturing, and product reliability by performing in‑depth technical investigations on customer claims and in‑process failures. This role plays a key part in identifying true root causes through data‑driven analysis, laboratory validation, and structured problem‑solving methods to ensure effective corrective actions.

The main missions of the role are:

• Perform deep‑dive failure analysis for customer claims (RMA), ensuring validated root causes supported by data and experiments
• Investigate in‑process failures from ICT, FCT, Flying Probe, and EOL testing, clearly distinguishing symptoms from true root causes
• Execute troubleshooting at HLA (assembly unit), board‑level (PCBA), and component‑level, including signal, sound, power, and intermittent issues
• Design and perform verification experiments to confirm identified root causes
• Prepare failure analysis reports with clear failure modes, technical evidence, and validation results
• Support 8D and RCCA activities with actionable, measurable, and effective outcomes
• Define analysis strategy and prioritization based on risk, customer impact, and business importance
• Escalate critical or systemic issues with clear technical justification and recommendation

Qualifications:

Minimum education level:  High Vocational/ bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Failure Analysis, Test Engineering, or Quality (preferred)
• Proven experience handling customer claims (RMA) and 8D problem solving

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and PCB design
• Excellent analytical and logical problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prove root cause with objective evidence, not assumptions
• Hands‑on experience using laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscope, DMM, and related tools
• Data‑driven mindset with experience in Excel, Minitab, or statistical analysis
• Strong technical communication skills with clear and structured reporting
