What they need

Description:

ABOUT DES

Dagostino Electronic Services, Inc. (DES) is a full-service technology integrator specializing in copper and fiber

cabling, network infrastructure, security, access control, multimedia, broadcast, intercom, sound, and lighting

systems. In stadium environments, DES provides the infrastructure and electronic systems that support broadcast

and production operations. We also work directly with the teams that operate these systems during events and

game days.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This paid Fall 2026 internship is a 6–8 week, hands-on opportunity supporting DES leadership during the PSU

Beaver Stadium Renovation. The intern will assist with game preparation, system readiness, equipment tracking,

and post-season teardown for broadcast, intercom, sound, and production systems. Compensation and the start

date will be established in a written internship agreement. The position is designed for a recent communications or

production graduate who is organized, works well with technical and operational teams, and is interested in

developing toward full-time employment. At the end of the assignment, DES will evaluate the intern’s

performance, project fit, and alignment with business needs.

  • Learn how broadcast, intercom, sound, and production systems are planned, deployed, and supported in an

active stadium

  • Review drawings, equipment lists, schedules, and project documentation
  • Develop game-preparation checklists, readiness trackers, and responsibility matrices
  • Participate in equipment staging, system checks, issue follow-up, and post-season teardown planning

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Project Executive with schedules, equipment lists, readiness checklists, action logs, meeting notes,

and status updates

  • Coordinate with DES personnel, Penn State stakeholders, vendors, trade partners, and production teams on

access, timing, responsibilities, and dependencies

  • Support pregame walkthroughs, equipment staging, system checks, punch-list tracking, and game-day

readiness confirmation

  • Document issues, decisions, assignments, and follow-up items affecting broadcast, intercom, sound, and

production equipment

  • Help coordinate post-season teardown, including sequencing, equipment identification, inventory, packaging,

storage, and turnover records

  • Work from the project site office and in active construction, stadium, and event-support environments as

project and game schedules require

Requirements:

IDEAL BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in telecommunications, broadcast production, communications, or a related field
  • Hands-on coursework or related experience in preproduction planning and in broadcast, intercom, sound, or

production systems supported by DES infrastructure

  • Strong organization, writing, communication, time management, and follow-through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with NDI and SDI workflows, or an interest in learning them, is

preferred

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fastmoving

environment

  • Valid driver’s license and availability for a 6–8 week Fall 2026 assignment, including occasional early mornings,

evenings, or weekends tied to stadium activities

  • OSHA-compliant attire is required for site work; DES will provide necessary personal protective equipment
