What they need

Fall and Winter Technicians

Join the Premium Landscapes Team

Premium Landscapes is seeking dependable and motivated Fall and Winter Technicians to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in doing quality work, and are comfortable working in changing seasonal conditions.

Our fall and winter crews play an important role in keeping our customers' residential properties clean, maintained, and accessible as the seasons change. Work will transition from fall property maintenance and seasonal cleanups into snow and ice management as winter weather arrives.

Pay: $18.00–$29.25 per hour, based on previous experience and assigned position.

Previous lawn care, landscaping, equipment operation, or snow removal experience is preferred, but we also value dependable individuals who are willing to learn and develop their skills.

About the Position

Fall and Winter Technicians perform a variety of seasonal property maintenance services for residential customers. During the fall, technicians will assist with property cleanups, lawn and landscape maintenance, leaf removal, and preparation of properties for winter.

As winter weather begins, the position transitions into snow and ice management. Availability for snow removal throughout the winter season is required.

Our winter team includes both equipment operators and shovelers. Duties will be assigned based on experience, qualifications, training, and position.

For employees interested in continued employment, opportunities to transition into full-time summer work may be available following the winter season. These opportunities are based on company staffing needs, employee performance, dependability, attendance, and applicable skills and experience.

Because snow operations are dependent on weather conditions, winter schedules can vary significantly. Employees must be prepared to work when snow and winter weather occur, including early mornings, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.

Fall Property Maintenance Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform fall property and landscape cleanups at residential properties.
  • Remove and collect leaves, grass clippings, branches, and other seasonal debris.
  • Mow, trim, edge, and blow off properties as needed throughout the remainder of the growing season.
  • Trim and prune shrubs and smaller trees to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Clean and maintain landscape and flower beds.
  • Assist with mulch, seasonal property improvements, and other landscape maintenance projects.
  • Perform weed removal and other general property maintenance tasks.
  • Safely operate and care for professional lawn and landscape equipment, tools, vehicles, and machinery when qualified and authorized.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Winter Snow Removal Responsibilities

Once winter weather begins, technicians will transition into snow and ice management operations.

Winter duties may include:

  • Operate snow removal equipment according to assigned position, training, qualifications, and previous experience.
  • Perform manual snow removal and shoveling at residential properties.
  • Clear driveways, sidewalks, walkways, entrances, steps, and other designated areas.
  • Operate snowblowers and other approved snow removal equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Assist with snow and ice management operations as directed by route leads or supervisors.
  • Safely work around trucks, plows, snowblowers, and other snow removal equipment.
  • Follow established company safety procedures during all winter operations.
  • Report for scheduled snow events reliably, prepared, and on time.
  • Remain available for snow operations when winter weather requires service.

Snow events do not follow a traditional work schedule. Reliable winter availability is an essential requirement of this position.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older for positions requiring the operation of company vehicles.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record when applying for a position that requires driving or operating company vehicles.
  • Be able to obtain a DOT Federal Medical Card when required for the operation of applicable company vehicles.
  • Be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled.
  • Be physically capable of performing outdoor work in varying fall and winter weather conditions.
  • Be available and willing to participate in winter snow removal operations.
  • Follow company safety procedures, instructions, and quality standards.
  • Be comfortable working independently as well as part of a crew.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Shoveling positions do not require a valid driver's license. However, shovelers must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to report for scheduled snow events on time.

Previous experience with commercial-grade lawn equipment, landscaping equipment, snowblowers, plow trucks, or other snow removal equipment is preferred for applicable positions.
