Since opening in 1869, the Club’s croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens and stately Georgian Clubhouse have made it a sought-after destination for exclusive sporting and social activities.

The Role

As an F&B Assistant, you will work on a casual basis in line with the departmental roster, which may include early, late and weekend shifts.

Casual Agreements provide flexibility, with working hours offered in line with operational needs and without fixed hours, giving you the opportunity to pick up shifts that align with your availability.

You will be responsible for providing a first-class hospitality experience to our members and their guests, with a warm and friendly approach. Typical duties will include:

· Greeting and seating guests.

· Serving food and drinks.

· Taking food and drinks orders.

· Preparation for a successful service.

· Ensuring the cleanliness of the F&B areas.

· Learning and having full knowledge of beverage lists, menu items including garnishes and preparation methods.

· Being able to assist members or guests with any special requests or allergy requirements.

The F&B Department

The Harness Room Kitchen – offering a relaxed menu exclusively for members and their guests, providing light breakfasts, lunches and a more formal evening offering.

The Polo Bar – prepares a light menu and dinner seven days a week.

The Brasserie – offering modern British cuisine during lunch and dinner service for members and their guests.

East Wing Events – a fully adaptable events suite able to cater for a variety of events including weddings, awards ceremonies and conferences.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a food enthusiast, who is charismatic, with a can-do attitude. You will be outgoing and engaging, and we are looking for staff who are open to new challenges and eager to learn new skills. Training will be provided on shift by hospitality professionals. Previous hospitality is experience is preferred.
