Job Summary

The F&B Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a fine-dining environment. The role requires a high level of professionalism, product knowledge, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. The associate ensures that all service standards, hygiene requirements, and restaurant procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Provide attentive, personalized, and efficient table service in accordance with fine-dining standards.
• Understand and explain the restaurant’s menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages using proper service techniques and etiquette.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including food ingredients, allergens, wines, cocktails, spirits, and other beverages.
• Recommend food and beverage options based on guest preferences and provide appropriate upselling suggestions.
• Ensure tables are properly set, maintained, and cleared according to restaurant standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when required.
• Follow proper sequence of service and maintain appropriate timing between courses.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the restaurant and service areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, mise-en-place, side-station preparation, and restaurant setup.
• Check crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, and service equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
• Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and product knowledge activities.
• Maintain professional grooming, personal hygiene, and appearance at all times.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and professional team environment.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or F&B management team.
