Job Purpose

The Host/Hostess is the first impression of Volto – the smile, the welcome, and the tone-setter for the night. This role is about making every guest feel expected, valued, and excited from the moment they arrive. The Host/Hostess embodies Volto’s style: warm, confident, and always in control of the flow.

Role Overview

As Host/Hostess, you’ll greet guests at the door, manage reservations, and coordinate seating with precision. You’ll read the energy of the evening, adjusting seating to balance VIPs, regulars, and new guests so everyone feels taken care of. You’ll also liaise with the service team to ensure smooth handovers and seamless transitions.

Your role is about presence – being approachable and attentive while always staying aware of what’s happening in the room. You are the guest’s first connection with Volto, and you set the mood for everything that follows.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, providing a professional and welcoming first impression.
• Manage reservations, confirming bookings and handling walk-ins with efficiency.
• Coordinate seating to ensure smooth flow, balancing VIPs, regulars, and new guests.
• Liaise with waitstaff and supervisors to ensure seamless table handovers.
• Recognise and prioritise VIP guests, ensuring discreet and attentive service.
• Maintain an organised reservation system and communicate updates with the team.
• Anticipate guest needs at the entrance, offering assistance and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure entrance and waiting areas are tidy, stylish, and reflective of Volto’s atmosphere.
• Handle guest enquiries in person and over the phone with professionalism and accuracy.
• Support PR and operations with guest lists, events, and special activations.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions, events, and menu updates for accurate communication.
• Uphold Volto’s standards of style, hospitality, and guest care at all times.

You’re adaptable, stylish, and always professional – able to set the right tone whether it’s a lively Saturday night or an intimate weekday service.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of hospitality or guest relations experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage reservations and handle VIP protocols.
• Hospitality training or diploma (preferred).

Pay: From BD500.000 per month
