F&B Hostess - The TOP

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome arriving guests promptly, seat them according to floor rotation plans, and present menus to ensure balanced workload distribution across server sections.
• Manage digital and phone reservations, oversee floor seating charts, and coordinate with bussing staff to ensure tables are reset on time.
• Track walk-in queue times accurately during high-volume meal shifts, communicate wait estimates transparently, and keep waiting guests comfortable.
• Maintain continuous communication with floor servers, managers, and the kitchen regarding seating flow, table turns, special guest accommodations, and section availability.
• Keep the host station, entrance foyer, menus, and promotional displays immaculate, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
• Handle guest inquiries, assist with special seating requests (birthdays, large parties, accessibility), and escalate concerns to management professionally when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum SPM / High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Host/Hostess or Front-of-House Receptionist in a fast-paced restaurant, café, or hospitality environment.
• Articulate verbal skills in English (conversational Bahasa Melayu is an advantage), paired with a warm, high-energy, and welcoming presence.
• Ability to stay composed, organized, and polite while managing heavy door traffic, walk-in queues, and phone calls simultaneously.
• Well-groomed appearance in adherence to restaurant uniform and professional presentation standards.
• Full flexibility to work rotational shift hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak dining hours.
