F&B Intern / Food & Beverage Intern

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic F&B Intern to gain hands-on experience in restaurant and food service operations. The intern will assist in daily front-of-house and back-of-house activities while learning proper food service procedures, customer service standards, food safety practices, and restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant and Food & Beverage department.
• Support Servers, Cashiers, Buffet Attendants, Kitchen Personnel, and Supervisors as assigned.
• Assist in table setup, buffet setup, clearing, and maintaining dining areas.
• Provide assistance to guests and help ensure a positive dining experience.
• Assist in food and beverage service following established service standards.
• Support preparation and replenishment of buffet stations as instructed.
• Assist in checking cleanliness and proper organization of dining and service areas.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Assist in monitoring supplies, utensils, service equipment, and other F&B requirements.
• Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, equipment, and service stations.
• Observe and follow company policies, operational procedures, and grooming standards.
• Participate in F&B training, orientations, and other learning activities.
• Assist supervisors and restaurant staff with other operational tasks as needed.
• Complete required school OJT documentation, reports, and learning requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in BS Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, Culinary Arts, or a related course.
• Internship/OJT is required as part of the student's academic program.
• Willing to complete the required internship hours.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-service oriented and willing to interact with guests.
• Physically capable of performing restaurant-related tasks, including prolonged standing and movement.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• With school endorsement letter / OJT requirements / Memorandum of Agreement from school.
• Previous experience in school-based hospitality, restaurant, catering, or food service activities.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with basic table service, buffet operations, or restaurant procedures.
