What they need

Food & Beverage Support Manager – St Andrews

Dean Banks Group | St Andrews

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Food & Beverage Support Manager to join the Dean Banks Group and support the day-to-day operations across our St Andrews venues — Haar, Dune and Amber.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and working closely with management teams to maintain high standards across service, hospitality and operations.

The Role

Working across our St Andrews venues, you will provide additional operational support to our management teams, helping ensure each site runs smoothly and consistently.

Your days will primarily be service-focused and hands-on, working alongside the teams during busy periods, supporting the management on shift and stepping in where required.

You will also play an important role in the re-opening of Haar later this year, helping the team prepare for a successful return to service, as well as supporting the development and opening of our new St Andrews venue next year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of Haar, Dune and Amber.
  • Working on shift alongside the management teams, particularly during busy service periods.
  • Supporting General Managers and senior team members with the smooth running of service.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of food, beverage and guest service.
  • Leading by example on the floor and supporting the wider team.
  • Assisting with staff training, development and maintaining service standards.
  • Helping identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Supporting staffing, rotas and daily operational requirements where needed.
  • Ensuring company procedures, checklists and standards are followed.
  • Supporting the teams with guest experience and ensuring any issues are dealt with professionally.
  • Assisting with the re-opening and operational preparation of Haar.
  • Supporting the launch and opening of our new St Andrews venue in 2027.
  • Working closely with the wider Dean Banks Group management team to ensure consistency across our venues.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and confident in a busy hospitality environment.

You will ideally have previous experience in a management or senior supervisory position within food and beverage, with a strong understanding of service and what it takes to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys being on the floor and part of the team, rather than managing from behind a desk.

You should be:

  • A confident and experienced hospitality professional.
  • Hands-on and comfortable leading from the front.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • A natural team player who enjoys supporting others.
  • Confident communicating with both management and junior team members.
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexible and comfortable working across different venues and services.
  • Calm and solution-focused under pressure.
  • Someone who takes pride in standards and wants to make a genuine difference to the operation.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Scottish hospitality group and play a key role in the continued development of our St Andrews venues.

With the re-opening of Haar, the continued development of Dune and Amber, and a new venue opening in 2027, this is a role with plenty of variety and opportunity to grow.

If you're an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys being hands-on, supporting teams and helping great venues run at their best, we'd love to hear from you.
