Farm Operations Associate

Queen City Farms is a vertical indoor farm in Cincinnati. We grow microgreens and edible flowers year-round in 10×20 soil trays. We need a reliable person to keep the farm clean, the trays ready, and production moving.

This is hands-on operations work. You will keep the growing floor, equipment, and facility clean and ready for the next crop. Farming experience is not required.

What you will do

• Fill 10×20 Bootstrap Farmer trays with soil and prepare them for planting.
• Clean and sanitize used growing trays so they can go back into production.
• After harvest, empty spent soil into the compost bin. That soil is not reused.
• Clean and sanitize flood tables, water reservoirs, and water tanks on a set schedule.
• Clean bathrooms and keep the farm floor and work areas tidy.
• Follow sanitation steps between crops.
• Help with harvest and packaging when the team needs an extra set of hands.
• Report leaks, equipment issues, or cleanliness problems to the owner.

What we are looking for

• Shows up on time.
• Comfortable lifting trays, standing, bending, and working in a fast pasted environment.
• Careful with cleaning. Detail matters more than speed on day one.
• Able to follow a routine without constant supervision.
• No farm or janitorial experience required.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
