FAT Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a FAT Supervisor to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team on a contract basis. This role is based in North Jakarta, Jakarta, and offers the opportunity to lead and oversee financial accounting and testing operations within our organization. As FAT Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records, supervising team members, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This position is key to supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of PT Simbadda Group Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of financial accounting and testing (FAT) team members
• Review and verify financial transactions, entries, and reports for accuracy and compliance
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies
• Conduct financial reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor and manage the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff on accounting procedures and best practices
• Identify process improvements and implement enhancements to accounting workflows
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Report on financial metrics and variances to senior management

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role
• Background in Accounting is a plus
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications (Excel, Accurate, ERP or similar tools preferred)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with financial reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements
• Professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred
