Job Responsibilities

• FBD Dryer Operation: Operate Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD) equipment for drying wet granules, crystals, intermediates, and other process materials as per approved manufacturing instructions.
• Process Parameter Monitoring: Monitor and control inlet and outlet air temperatures, drying time, airflow, and other applicable process parameters.
• Material Handling: Load and unload process materials into the FBD dryer safely and as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
• Moisture Content Monitoring: Ensure materials are dried to the specified moisture content or Loss on Drying (LOD) limits as per approved process requirements.
• Equipment Cleaning: Perform cleaning of the FBD dryer, product containers, filters, and associated equipment as per approved cleaning procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Equipment Inspection: Check the equipment, filter bags, air handling system, and associated components before and during operation.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records, equipment cleaning records, and process logs.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow GMP requirements, SOPs, PPE guidelines, and plant safety procedures during all operations.
• Troubleshooting: Identify operational abnormalities and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to the supervisor.
• Production Support: Ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of drying operations according to the production schedule.

Required Experience and Skills

• Relevant experience in FBD dryer operation within the API pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry.
• Practical knowledge of Fluid Bed Dryers and pharmaceutical drying processes.
• Understanding of drying parameters, moisture content, and LOD requirements.
• Knowledge of equipment cleaning, GMP documentation, and contamination prevention.
• Ability to follow approved batch instructions and safety procedures.
