FDE – AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – AI Engineer with experience building and deploying AI-powered enterprise platforms and automating complex business workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and AWS, along with experience building large-scale platforms in Project Sourcing Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or automating Lean/Kaizen projects .

The candidate should be capable of understanding business requirements, developing AI-driven solutions, integrating enterprise systems, and deploying production-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI.
• Build AI-driven automation solutions for Lean/Kaizen initiatives, manufacturing workflows, procurement, project sourcing, and supply chain operations.
• Develop and integrate AI capabilities into large-scale enterprise platforms to automate complex workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Work with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Build APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise applications.
• Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and convert them into production-ready solutions.
• Deploy and maintain AI applications on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve deployed solutions.

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of experience in AI Engineering, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with backend development and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and AI agent frameworks.
• Experience building and deploying AI-powered enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of databases, system integrations, and scalable application architecture.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and production deployments.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Domain Experience

Experience building or automating platforms in one or more of the following domains:

• Project Sourcing & Procurement Management: Sourcing workflows, supplier management, procurement automation, and spend analysis.
• Supply Chain Management: Inventory, logistics, demand planning, and supply chain optimization.
• Manufacturing Platforms: Manufacturing workflows, production operations, process optimization, and industrial automation.
• Lean / Kaizen Automation: AI-driven automation of continuous improvement initiatives, waste reduction, process optimization, and operational efficiency.

Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms and customer-facing solution development will be an added advantage.

AWS Certifications – Added Advantage

Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Machine Learning Engineer – Associate, Solutions Architect, or Developer – Associate, are desirable but not mandatory.

Hands-on AWS experience and successful production deployments will be given higher priority than certifications alone.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade AI solutions.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into practical AI-driven applications.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms and automating business or manufacturing workflows.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and business stakeholders.
• Ability to independently own solutions from requirement gathering through development, integration, and deployment.
