Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of warehouse floors, workstations, restrooms, break areas, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
• Handle and safely operate cleaning chemicals and agents following strict chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards.
• Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting surfaces, window cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness of high-touch areas to promote hygiene.
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of cleaning supplies or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injuries.
• Maintain equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other janitorial tools in good working condition through routine maintenance checks.
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.

Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Excellent teamwork skills coupled with a customer service mindset to support a positive work environment.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
