JJS Logistics is hiring reliable and motivated delivery drivers for our FedEx Alternative Vehicle Program (AVP) in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a great opportunity for dependable drivers who enjoy working independently, staying active, and providing excellent customer service. You do not need previous FedEx experience — we will train qualified candidates.

What Is the FedEx AVP Program?

The Alternative Vehicle Program (AVP) uses approved alternative delivery vehicles instead of traditional FedEx step vans for certain package-delivery operations.

As an AVP driver, you will be responsible for safely operating the assigned vehicle, organizing and delivering packages, using required scanning technology, and completing your assigned route according to FedEx and JJS Logistics procedures.

Your Responsibilities

• Safely operate an approved alternative delivery vehicle.
• Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
• Load and organize packages for efficient route completion.
• Scan packages correctly using the required handheld device.
• Follow proper delivery procedures and delivery codes.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Follow all FedEx and JJS Logistics safety requirements.
• Perform required vehicle inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delivery issues.
• Properly handle packages and protect customer shipments.
• Complete required end-of-day scanning and route procedures.
• Report vehicle maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Follow all company policies regarding speeding, distracted driving, backing, seat belts, and safe vehicle operation.

Previous delivery experience is preferred but NOT required.

Experience with FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL, courier services, or other delivery companies is a plus.

Driver Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable driving record
• Must meet applicable driver qualification requirements
• Must pass required background screening
• Must be able to safely operate the assigned vehicle
• Must be able to lift and carry packages
• Must have reliable attendance

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent:

• Walking
• Standing
• Bending
• Reaching
• Lifting and carrying packages
• Getting in and out of the delivery vehicle

Drivers must be able to safely handle packages throughout their route and work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
