Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver packages to residential and business addresses
• Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques, forklifts, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Follow designated routes accurately, adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for weight handling and safety standards
• Manage delivery documentation via mobile devices, ensuring all packages are accounted for and properly recorded
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries, answering questions politely, and addressing any delivery concerns professionally
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving packages within the facility and operating material handling equipment

Experience

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or driver roles
• Warehouse experience including manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
• Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license for box trucks or commercial trucks; experience with manual transmission is a plus
• Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices or in person
• Ability to lift heavy packages regularly while maintaining safety standards
• Experience working in warehouse operations or logistics environments involving manual handling and load & unload tasks

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
