FedEx Ground Class A CDL OTR Team Driver

Job Overview

Halo Transit, Inc., an independent contractor for FedEx Ground, is immediately hiring full-time Class A CDL team truck drivers for undedicated runs dispatched from the Houston, TX terminal.

If you have Class A experience with companies such as FedEx, Amazon, Ryder, Swift, PepsiCo, YRC, or Waste Management, this could be the perfect next step in your driving career.

What We Offer

• Pay: $0.90 – $1.00 CPM plus additional incentives
• Mileage: Average 4,000 miles per week (team)
• Freight: No-touch, drop & hook
• Equipment: VNL64T 760 Sleeper (Automatic)
• Benefits after 60 days: 50% employer-paid health benefits (medical)
• Strong weekly minimum pay.
• Up to $6,000 in bonuses throughout the year!
• $2,500 sign on bonus!

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with double/triple endorsement
• 1 year CDL experience within the past 3 years OR certificate of successful completion from a qualified line-haul driving school
• 21 years of age or older
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards
• Must meet DOT Section 391 Federal Motor Carrier regulations
• Ability to hook up and break down sets of trailers (average lift force ~100 lbs, several times daily)
• Ability to sit for long periods; bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck
• Basic written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience hauling doubles
• Schedule flexibility and weekend availability

Additional Requirements:

• Background check required
• Automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed

Responsibilities

• Safely complete assigned runs on time
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain Hours of Service (HOS) documentation
• Fuel truck as needed
• Follow all FedEx safety policies and procedures
• Communicate with the FedEx linehaul office to secure runs and maintain transportation management system accuracy
• Keep truck clean and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
