Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices
• Execute delivery routes efficiently, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and delivery verification
• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent customer service during package drop-offs
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation
• Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or load bars when necessary to secure packages during transit
• Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, and warehouse operations when handling shipments

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience or courier background preferred, especially with commercial driving or van driving roles
• Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation and moving heavy loads is advantageous
• Familiarity with manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards
• Experience using mobile devices for route management or package tracking is beneficial
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and reliability

Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
