Feedlot Crew Member

Duties

• Assist with the feeding, watering, and general care of livestock, ensuring animals are healthy and comfortable
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, feed trucks and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, including welding and using hand tools or power tools
• Support animal handling activities, including loading, unloading, and moving animals within the feedlot.
• Help with cleaning pens, barns, and work areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Collaborate with team members to monitor animal health, report issues promptly, and ability to shift focus depending on need.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge or experience with farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, or power tools is highly desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with animal husbandry practices, animal handling techniques, and general animal care is a plus.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and the willingness to learn.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and able to stand for long periods of time.
• Experience with farming operations or agriculture-related activities enhances your fit for this role.
