Feedout Operator

Are you an experienced Feedout Operator or agricultural machinery operator looking for a stable livestock role? Greenmountain Food Processing is seeking an experienced operator to support daily livestock feeding activities at our Coominya operations.

Mandatory Requirements – Please Read Before Applying

• Current unrestricted Australian work rights
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in feedout, feedlot, agricultural machinery or a closely related role
• Experience operating tractors, feed mixers or comparable agricultural equipment
• Ability to work safely around livestock and mobile plant
• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including Saturdays and Sundays
• Physically fit for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and complete routine checks accurately

About the Role

This is a practical machinery-based role supporting daily livestock feeding operations on a 7-day rotating roster. Weekend shifts are part of the normal roster, with applicable penalty rates paid for Saturday and Sunday work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily livestock feedout duties in accordance with operational requirements
• Operate tractors, feed mixers and associated feedout equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, mix and distribute feed as directed
• Complete machinery pre-start checks and basic operator inspections
• Monitor feedout equipment during operation and report defects or mechanical concerns promptly
• Maintain feedout equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
• Assist with feeding and watering checks where required
• Record required feedout or equipment information accurately
• Work safely around cattle, machinery and livestock areas
• Follow WHS requirements, site procedures and reasonable management directions

About You

You are practical, reliable and self-motivated, with the experience to work safely in a busy livestock operation. You can work independently, communicate effectively and contribute positively to a team environment.

Ideal Experience

• Feedout operations within feedlots, cattle operations or intensive livestock environments
• Operation of tractors and agricultural machinery
• Feed mixer operation
• Understanding of machinery pre-starts and basic operator maintenance
• Experience working around cattle and livestock facilities
• Good attention to detail when following feedout requirements
• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively on a rotating roster
