Female Personal Support Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Personal Support Assistant to provide personalized care and assistance to a young adult in their home and within the local community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s daily life by delivering tailored support that promotes independence, well-being, and comfort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude to ensure the highest quality of support. The young adult has neurological challenges but does not require personal care.

The hours will be Monday, Thursday and Friday weekly 10-2pm and alternate saturdays 10-2pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist client with daily household activities to enhance their comfort and independence
• Support Client to access interest led activities
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement without Judgment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in home care or working within a care home environment is preferred
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, family members, and professionals to ensure coordinated care. Someone who will clearly communicate changes to the Client
• Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle for client transportation preferred but not necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Foetal alcohol syndrome would be ideal

Pay: £12.71-£13.60 per hour
