Fencing Foreman

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Foreman / Supervisor to lead fencing projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for a practical leader who enjoys being on the tools, managing a team, coordinating resources, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You'll oversee a variety of projects including residential fencing, rural fencing, gates, security fencing, and commercial installations throughout Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and motivate fencing crews on multiple projects
• Coordinate daily work programmes and site activities
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Organise plant, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
• Build positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members
• Manage site health and safety requirements and documentation

Skills and Experience
You will:

• Have experience leading teams within fencing, civil construction, landscaping, or a related outdoor construction environment
• Hold a relevant trade qualification or demonstrate significant industry experience
• Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence – must be able to drive manual
• Have proven experience managing projects and coordinating site operations
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Show a practical, solution-focused approach with a commitment to quality workmanship
