Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced FF&E; Designer to join the team on a three-month fixed-term basis, working on a fast-paced, high-end hospitality project. The role will focus primarily on the detailed scheduling and specification of FF&E;, taking approved design direction through to accurate, procurement-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, develop and maintain detailed FF&E; schedules and specifications.
  • Translate approved design schemes into clear, accurate and procurement-ready documentation.
  • Specify loose furniture, decorative lighting, fabrics, upholstery, rugs, window treatments, artwork, mirrors and accessories as required.
  • Coordinate product information, dimensions, finishes, quantities, codes and technical requirements across schedules and control documents.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, lead times, samples and product information.
  • Coordinate COM/COL requirements and relevant supplier responsibilities where applicable.
  • Maintain FF&E; trackers and support budget monitoring, substitutions and value engineering.
  • Identify specification gaps, clashes, discontinued products and programme risks early.
  • Prepare clear, client-ready FF&E; presentations, schedules and specification packages.
  • Coordinate closely with the design, procurement, QS and project teams to keep information moving against a demanding programme.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong previous FF&E; design and specification experience; luxury hospitality experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in scheduling and specification.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; InDesign proficiency is preferred.
  • Confident communicating with suppliers and coordinating detailed product information.
  • Good understanding of FF&E; procurement processes, lead times and specification requirements.
  • Highly organised, commercially aware and able to work quickly across multiple areas and deadlines.
  • Able to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned schedules and deliverables.

The Role Will Suit

A practical, detail-focused designer who enjoys the technical and organisational side of FF&E; and can step into an established design project quickly. This is a delivery-focused role requiring speed, accuracy, initiative and the ability to turn design intent into robust specification information.
