New York Sports Club and our family of brands, including Fhitting Room, is a long-standing, dynamic fitness club brand with locations in the Northeast. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively provide client relations and studio operations support. Fhitting Room@NYSC needs customer-minded rockstars to help deliver Fhitting Room’s signature five-star service. While mornings are key, shift times may vary, so flexibility is essential.

• Continuously modeling and promoting the NYSC and our family of brands mission, mission statement, and values with pride and integrity.
• Providing a legendary member experience.
• Reviewing and adhering to all NYSC and our family of brands documents including but not limited to policies and procedures, employee handbook, state supplement, codes of conduct, etc.
• Deliver the technical excellence and personalization of a personal training session in a group fitness class filled with energy, motivation and fun.
• Lead HIIT and strength training classes utilizing knowledge of functional fitness, kettlebell training, strength, and conditioning.
• Explain and demonstrate exercise moves as well as know how to modify them for people who have limitations/injuries and know to progress them for those who need an added challenge.
• Energize a class full of FHIXers (clients).
• Ability to recognize inappropriate weight use or poor form and rectify it, and monitor each client’s progress and results, and make program adjustments as needed.
• Personable and comfortable providing clients one on one assistance and encouragement.
• Curate an amazing and continuous playlist.
• Help clients attain and maintain their personal health and fitness goals, in a professional, service orientated and fun manner.
• Be comfortable getting to know our FHIXers and allowing clients to get to know them.
• Maintain an excellent social media presence.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

• Current CPR/AED certification
• Current nationally recognized personal training certification: we accept NASM, ACE, AFAA, or CFSC
• Kettlebell certification preferred; willingness to obtain one if not already certified
• Group exercise experience is preferred
• TRX, Rowing, Functional Strength, Pre/Post-Natal certifications encouraged
• Extremely punctual, responsive, and professional
• Caring, relationship driven approach towards clients and co-workers
• Ability to work weekends, early mornings, evenings, and in person
• The ability to motivate others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Public speaking capabilities, patience, general knowledge of exercise science and safe fitness practices.
• Ability to proficiently use our POS and membership system, timekeeping any other computer programs required to meet the business needs of the customer and NYSC and our family of brands.
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations, walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g. picking up towels, restacking weights, moving equipment as needed).
