Fiber-Carbonization Process Researcher

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle project management for the carbon fiber team from project initiation to closure in compliance with research project management requirements.
• Serve as the lead for carbonization process, responsible for carbonization process development, experimental protocol formulation, and small-batch trial production and delivery of products.
• Take charge of construction and modification of experimental platforms, selection and procurement of equipment and instruments, and coordination to secure internal and external R&D resources.
• Conduct industry information collection, as well as supplier and customer development.
• Manage and provide training for R&D staff of the carbon fiber team.
• Draft patents and technical reports, and fulfill other work tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

• PhD degree with over 5 years of R&D and production experience in PAN-based carbon fiber.
• Familiar with precursor fiber, core oxidation and carbonization processes & mechanisms, fiber structural models and characterization methods.
• Proficient in R&D and production equipment schemes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with innovative mindset.
• Candidates who have participated in the development of T800 or M40J and higher-grade products as a project lead or carbonization unit lead, and possess pilot-scale or larger R&D & production experience are preferred.
