Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fiber Drop Bury Technician to join our team in. This role involves outdoor work focused on the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables within telecommunications networks. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper burial of fiber drops, supporting the delivery of reliable high-speed internet services to our customers. Candidates should have a strong background in outdoor work, fiber optic cable handling, and technical proficiency to succeed in this position.

Duties

• Perform outdoor installation and burial of fiber optic cables, including fiber drops, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment to dig trenches, lay cables, and backfill work sites effectively.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of telecommunications network infrastructure in various outdoor environments.
• Conduct inspections to verify proper cable placement and secure connections within the network.
• Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet scheduled deadlines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including site details and cable routing information.

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience is essential, particularly in environments involving physical labor outdoors.
• Hands-on experience working with fiber optic cables is required, including handling, splicing, or installation tasks.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network cable installation processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with hand tools used in digging, cable placement, and related tasks is necessary.
• Technical proficiency in understanding fiber optic systems and related equipment will support successful job performance.
